Main trade-off
EcoFlow DELTA 3
One 500W solar input cannot make use of the Plus model 1000W two-input setup.
Head-to-head
Choose the DELTA 3 if you mainly recharge from a wall outlet or use one modest solar array. Choose the DELTA 3 Plus for two solar inputs or 140W USB-C charging. Both have the same 1024Wh capacity, 1800W continuous output and listed weight, so Plus does not buy longer runtime from the battery alone.
Before you choose
Both estimate about 2.73 hours using an 80% usable-energy allowance at 300W.
What this is based on
1024 × 0.8 ÷ 300 = 2.73 hours. This is a planning estimate and does not assume tested efficiency is identical.
Main trade-off
One 500W solar input cannot make use of the Plus model 1000W two-input setup.
Main trade-off
The 1,800W continuous inverter is lower than C1000 Gen 2 despite a similar 1kWh battery. X-Boost does not change that normal output limit.

Compare EcoFlow DELTA 3 and DELTA 3 Plus by dual solar inputs, laptop charging and expansion, with the equal battery and output made clear.
The Plus upgrade is about getting energy in and powering USB devices, not extra battery capacity.
Winner by situation
Battery, AC output and nominal carry weight are equal.
Plus provides two solar inputs.
Standard DELTA 3 caps each USB-C port at 100W.
Both support compatible EcoFlow expansion batteries.
What matters in practice
Both estimate about 2.73 hours using an 80% usable-energy allowance at 300W.
1024 × 0.8 ÷ 300 = 2.73 hours. This is a planning estimate and does not assume tested efficiency is identical.
A single Plus solar input is limited to 500W, the same total ceiling as standard DELTA 3.
Plus has two separate 500W inputs. Reaching the 1000W combined ceiling requires suitable input on both, subject to electrical limits.
A 140W-capable laptop has 40W more advertised USB-C headroom on Plus, while a 100W laptop has none.
140 − 100 = 40W per port. Actual charging depends on USB Power Delivery negotiation, cable capability and device state.

EcoFlow, DELTA 3
The expandable DELTA 3 for buyers who do not need the Plus model extra solar input. The battery and inverter are the same size, so the simpler charging setup can be entirely sufficient.

EcoFlow, DELTA 3 Plus
A 1,024Wh station that puts fast solar recovery and high-power USB-C ahead of headline battery size. Two 500W solar inputs can feed separate panel strings.
Meaningful differences
| What changes | EcoFlow DELTA 3 | EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|---|
| Battery capacity | 1024Wh | 1024Wh | A fully charged standalone unit starts with the same nominal energy. |
| Continuous AC output | 1800W | 1800W | Plus does not support a larger steady AC load. |
| Solar input layout | One input, 500W maximum | Two inputs, 500W each and 1000W combined | Plus supports a larger array or two separately controlled solar feeds. |
| USB-C ports | Two up to 100W each | Two up to 140W each | Only compatible devices and cables benefit from the higher USB-C limit. |
| Battery expansion | Supported with compatible extra battery | Supported with compatible extra battery | Expansion alone does not require choosing Plus. |
| Listed carry weight | About 27.6 lb | About 27.6 lb | The main portability difference is the extra solar equipment you choose to carry. |
What you give up
What matters in practice
Pay for Plus when the second solar input or faster USB-C ports solve an actual part of your setup.
Both units start with a 1024Wh battery and an 1800W inverter. A lamp-and-laptop setup therefore has the same nominal energy budget before charging. Real efficiency can differ, but the specifications do not establish a runtime advantage for Plus. Buyers who charge at home and use modest loads may find the standard DELTA 3 sufficient.
Plus provides two solar inputs with separate 500W limits. This is useful when a larger array is practical or when two panel groups need separate input control. The extra input does not mean a single port accepts 1000W. Check the voltage and current of each group, along with the correct cable and polarity.
The two 140W USB-C ports are useful for compatible laptops and other high-power USB devices. They do not increase the 1800W AC rating. A laptop that negotiates 65W will still take about 65W from either station, so checking its actual charging requirement is more useful than buying the larger USB number by default.
