Main trade-off
Its dried-stain result was below the independent studio average despite the self-washing roller.
Main trade-off
Independent testing found mediocre small-obstacle avoidance.

Compare eufy’s self-washing roller with Roborock’s spinning pads for mixed floors, obstacles and dock maintenance.
The practical choice turns on mop and carpet strategy, then on the constraints in your own setup.
Before you choose
eufy's S2 guidance for pet households recommends Turbo or Max and dust collection every 15 to 30 minutes. That means both stronger vacuum operation and repeated dock events may be part of the intended routine. Curv's US manual offers separate DND choices for emptying and drying. Choose around when those tasks can run, rather than assuming either mopping system gives a quiet pet-hair clean beside your desk.
The S2 interval corresponds to roughly two to four scheduled collection opportunities per hour, not a guaranteed event count. DND controls individual tasks and should not be treated as a master off switch.
S2's guidance uses vacuum-only operation for short or medium pile and avoidance for tasseled or very thick carpets. Curv's US manual excludes high-pile carpet even though its chassis and mops can lift. If an excluded rug is central to your home, neither lift headline proves compatibility. Choose only after its pile and fringe fit the manufacturer's instructions, and map out moisture-sensitive areas rather than relying entirely on detection.
Mechanical clearance and material permission are separate limits. A raised mop can still meet pile, and the comparison does not promise dry carpet under every angle, edge curl or detection condition.
Winner by situation
For mop, eufy Omni S2 records “Self-washing roller” and Roborock Qrevo Curv records “Two spinning pads”. This changes the hands-on cleaning, filling or disposal work required during ownership.
Its carpet detection, mop behavior or brush design better suits carpeted rooms.
Its sensor system is designed around recognizing small obstacles.
Its pickup and mopping system are better aligned with mostly hard flooring.
Its lift or climbing system is designed for more difficult room transitions.
Its lower body or retractable navigation hardware improves clearance.
