Main trade-off
eufy Omni S2
Its dried-stain result was below the independent studio average despite the self-washing roller.
Head-to-head
The S2 is the better mixed-floor fit when obstacle sensing and carpet protection lead the decision. The C28 makes more sense for hard floors, stains and pet hair at a lower tier.

Main trade-off
Its obstacle-avoidance result was middling in independent testing.

Compare two eufy roller-mop robots by carpet care, obstacles, pet hair, dock hardware and price tier.
The practical choice turns on strongest fit and mop approach, then on the constraints in your own setup.
Before you choose
C28's approximately 4.4-inch body is about 112 millimeters high, so it cannot enter a genuinely 105-millimeter opening. S2's support guidance also warns against furniture below 100 millimeters, leaving little margin near that boundary. If low-sofa access is essential, check the exact S2 body, route width and lowest crossbar before choosing it. C28 remains suitable when the furniture is high enough or that area is cleaned separately.
The example compares physical dimensions, not navigation success. A nominal gap slightly above a body measurement can still fail because of floor unevenness, cables or a lower internal crossbar.
C28 recommends two or three vacuum-only passes before initial mopping when accumulated dust and hair could cause streaks. S2 also recommends vacuuming first. If you expect a first-day roller pass to remove a long-neglected layer in one go, adjust that plan before choosing either. Favor the system whose extra preparation and later maintenance you will follow, rather than treating a continuously washed roller as permission to skip dry pickup.
This is a startup-workflow requirement, not a new cleaning-performance ranking. The additional vacuum passes occur before wet cleaning and do not establish a fixed number of passes for every room.
