Main trade-off
Active 2.3 Electric Pressure Washer
Rated output is 2.3 GPM at 1100 PSI. It also needs a stronger incoming water supply than the output number alone suggests.
Head-to-head
Choose Active 2.3 for a suitable 15A setup and regular vehicle washing. Choose Active 3.0 when you already have, or will properly arrange, dedicated 20A power and want its higher specified flow. Both are tool-only purchases. The 3.0 also needs a minimum 5/16-inch steel-braided pressure hose, a 1.65 mm foam orifice and scheduled pump-oil changes. Those requirements can outweigh the pump upgrade.
Before you choose
A renter may have a perfectly convenient outdoor outlet but no authority to change the building’s circuit. In that situation, Active 3.0’s higher flow is irrelevant until a qualified person confirms a dedicated 20A circuit and matching outlet. Its US plug intentionally differs from the ordinary 15A arrangement. Active 2.3 is the more practical candidate where a suitable 15A supply is what you can use, although sharing that circuit with other loads still needs checking. Do not use a plug adapter or replace a breaker to make the 3.0 fit. Buy it only after the installation requirement is settled.
What this is based on
SE12 specifies 14A and suitable 15A supply. SE22US specifies 18A, a dedicated 20A supply and NEMA 5-20P plug. Rental permission is an explicit scenario, not legal advice or an assumption about a particular building.

Main trade-off
It is not a plug-in replacement for a 15A setup. Its US plug and dedicated 20A requirement must be respected.

Active 3.0 adds rinse flow, but needs dedicated 20A power, a larger-bore hose and scheduled oil changes. Compare the full setup with Active 2.3.
These are adjacent Active detailing platforms for buyers who want to assemble a higher-flow home wash station. The direct upgrade question is whether the existing garage and accessories support the 3.0.
Winner by situation
Active 3.0 requires a dedicated 20A arrangement.
The 3.0 provides higher specified flow once its setup requirements are met.
Connector fit alone is insufficient for either model.
Both manuals recommend a five-minute rest after 30 minutes. The higher flow does not remove that scheduling limit.

If your garage already has a quarter-inch hose on a tidy reel, the move to Active 3.0 can disturb the setup you wanted to preserve. Its manual requires at least a 5/16-inch internal diameter and explicitly excludes quarter-inch hoses. The M22-14 mm connection alone is not enough. The foam cannon also moves from a 1.45 mm requirement on 2.3 to 1.65 mm on 3.0. Before treating the upgrade as one new box, check the hose bore, reel compatibility, connectors and cannon orifice. Active 2.3 still has its own steel-braided-hose requirements, so existing equipment needs verification either way.
SE22US accessory table specifies minimum 5/16-inch hose and no quarter-inch hose. Both models’ manuals specify different foam orifices and warn against undersized ones. Existing hose-reel ownership is a bounded scenario.
Active 3.0 may appeal to a household with two cars that get frequent summer washes and little winter use. Its latest manual, however, gives pump-oil service a time interval as well as an operating-hours interval. Low use does not erase that recurring chore. The website and manual disagree on the later hour interval, so follow the instructions supplied for the exact unit rather than relying on a longer interval from marketing copy. Active 2.3 still needs filter, connection and winter-storage care. The 3.0 makes more sense when its flow is useful often enough that you are willing to maintain it as part of a larger wash setup.
May 2026 SE22US manual gives oil replacement after 25 hours, then every 60 hours or six months. Website says 100 hours after initial service. The page preserves that conflict and prioritizes the unit-specific manual. SE12 maintenance list does not establish zero maintenance.

Meaningful differences
| What changes | Active 2.3 Electric Pressure Washer | Active 3.0 Electric Pressure Washer | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|---|
| Rated operating point | 2.3 GPM at 1100 PSI | 3.0 GPM at 1000 PSI | More specified rinse flow comes with slightly lower rated pressure. It is not a measured wash-time saving. |
| US electrical requirement | 14A rated draw on suitable 15A power | 18A rated draw, dedicated 20A circuit and NEMA 5-20 outlet | Confirm the garage connection before comparing the machines alone. |
| Pressure hose | Separate steel-braided hose with M22-14 mm connection | Separate steel-braided hose, minimum 5/16-inch internal diameter | A matching connector does not prove your old hose is suitable. |
| Foam-cannon orifice | 1.45 mm specified | 1.65 mm specified | Reusing a cannon may require changing its internal orifice. |
| In the box | Tool-only body, handle and nozzle equipment | Tool-only body and nozzle equipment | Neither includes the pressure hose, gun and lance. |
| Care beyond cleaning | Connection, filter and freeze-protection care | Those chores plus scheduled pump-oil changes | The higher model adds a recurring maintenance commitment. |
What you give up
Recommendation switch
Choose Active 2.3 Electric Pressure Washer. The 3.0 requires dedicated 20A power.
Choose Active 3.0 Electric Pressure Washer. Its 3.0 GPM rated flow becomes a usable benefit rather than a setup problem.
Choose neither. These exact offers are tool-only configurations.
What matters in practice
You want more rinse flow without replacing the parts of your wash setup that already work.
