Main trade-off
Hurom H400
The 30-minute continuous limit still applies. An easier filtering assembly does not make dried residue or general cleaning irrelevant.
Head-to-head
Choose Hurom H400 when avoiding a conventional fine mesh strainer is the more important improvement and your sessions stay within its 30-minute limit. Choose Kuvings AUTO10 if you genuinely need its 45-minute continuous rating or want the included smoothie and sorbet strainers. Both automate feeding after preparation. Neither cleans itself, and their published chamber or hopper volumes cannot be read as finished-juice quantities.
Before you choose
Both let you prepare a hopper instead of feeding every piece by hand. If you then have to clear breakfast and leave, the filtering assembly becomes the more useful distinction. H400 removes the conventional fine mesh screen from that washup. AUTO10’s water pre-rinse can loosen residue, but Kuvings still calls for dismantling and washing the strainer. If brushing a screen was the reason your previous juicer stayed dirty, H400 addresses that specific friction. It still needs cleaning and is not a promise that you can safely postpone all washing. If cleaning is already easy in your routine, choose on another difference.
What this is based on
Hurom documents its multi-auger filtering design. Kuvings distinguishes pre-rinse from complete cleaning. The conclusion concerns one removed cleaning task, not measured wash time, sanitation or texture.

Main trade-off
Water pre-rinsing is only a first step. The strainer still needs disassembly, brushing and washing.

Hurom H400 or Kuvings AUTO10? Compare interrupted cleanup, actual continuous runtime and the space a batch juicer takes after the drinks are made.
Both are premium self-feeding juicers for several home servings. Their meaningful differences are the filtering mechanism, the continuous-operation allowance and the shape of the station you must keep clear.
Winner by situation
H400 removes the conventional mesh screen. All wetted parts still need cleaning.
AUTO10 allows up to 45 minutes under its documented usage conditions.
AUTO10 includes its blank sorbet strainer, with preparation and cleaning retained.
Chamber volume and ingredient-hopper volume do not represent comparable juice output.

Several people drinking the same recipe can still finish well within H400’s 30-minute limit. AUTO10’s 45-minute rating is more relevant to a person who actually keeps the motor running longer, perhaps preparing several recipes in one session. A 40-minute continuous run would be beyond Hurom’s stated allowance but inside Kuvings’ rating. That example says nothing about output per minute. A stop to empty containers or wash between recipes is also different from uninterrupted motor operation. Buy around the sessions you make, rather than assuming that a family label requires the longest rating.
The hypothetical run is explicitly 40 continuous minutes, compared with manufacturer limits of 30 and 45. No number of glasses, extraction speed or pause-cooling equivalence is inferred.
H400’s quoted body rectangle works out to about 68 square inches, against 80 square inches for AUTO10’s quoted 10-by-8-inch body. H400 is nevertheless about half an inch taller. A shallow overhead space can therefore favor the machine with the larger body rectangle. Collection containers, produce, opening the hopper and taking parts to the sink need additional room with both. This is why choosing from “550 mL” and “3 L” is especially misleading: those figures describe different internal spaces, and neither tells you the complete workstation size or how much juice the recipe will produce.
169 × 261 divided by 645.16 is about 68.4 square inches. 10 × 8 equals 80. Hurom height is quoted as 18.5 inches and AUTO10 as 18. These are body bounds, not a measured usable counter footprint or a headroom guarantee.

Hurom, H400
The fine screen is the cleaning task you most want to remove, with complete washing still part of each use.

Kuvings, AUTO10
You have actual supervised sessions that need more than 30 minutes but fit within the 45-minute rating.
Meaningful differences
| What changes | Hurom H400 | Kuvings AUTO10 | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|---|
| Filtering mechanism | Two-part multi-auger without a conventional fine mesh strainer | Juicing strainer with fine openings | The cleaning task differs, without proving a texture or yield winner. |
| Continuous run | Up to 30 minutes | Up to 45 minutes | The extra allowance matters only if a real session exceeds 30 minutes. |
| Cleanup after feeding | Remove and clean the multi-auger and other wetted parts | Pre-rinse, then disassemble and wash, including the mesh | Self-feeding does not make either machine self-cleaning. |
| Quoted closed height | 18.5 inches | 18 inches | The lower AUTO10 still needs open-hopper and handling clearance. |
| Body floor dimensions | 169 by 261 mm | 10 by 8 inches | Compare the actual counter shape and containers rather than capacity labels. |
| Weight | 14.8 lb | 16.5 lb | Both need a deliberate lifting and storage plan if moved daily. |
What you give up
Recommendation switch
Choose Hurom H400. H400 targets the screen-cleaning objection while retaining a 30-minute limit.
Choose Kuvings AUTO10. AUTO10 adds the runtime allowance and supplied strainers, with mesh cleanup remaining.
Choose neither. Batch feeding and a pre-rinse do not establish either capability.
What matters in practice
You want enough capacity for the household, but a machine that leaves an unwelcome cleaning job can make the larger batch promise irrelevant.
