Main trade-off
AlorAir Sentinel HDi90 Ductable
The manual says its Central Control key does not apply to this model. A duct collar is not proof of HVAC integration.
Head-to-head
Choose HDi90 Ductable for a pump-dependent dedicated-space installation where its larger, heavier cabinet and service needs fit. HDi90 includes the pump, while E080 needs a separate one for uphill drainage. Choose E080 when its documented HVAC connection and fan-interlock route are required. AlorAir’s ductable label alone does not establish that integration. Compare 90 versus 80 pints at 80 F and 60% RH, not AlorAir’s separate 198-pint saturation figure.
Before you choose
If the crawlspace drain must go uphill, HDi90’s internal pump can avoid sourcing a separate condensate pump, provided the permitted route is confirmed. If the same appliance must also connect to the home’s HVAC fan, its ductable label is not enough. The HDi90 manual explicitly says the Central Control key does not apply to this model. E080 supplies a documented HVAC route with fan-interlock instructions, but needs a separate pump when gravity will not work. Choose the complete installation that satisfies both jobs.
What this is based on
Pump inclusion and verified control instructions crossed with elevated disposal and HVAC integration. Unverified AlorAir compatibility is not declared impossible.
Main trade-off
The manual says its Central Control key does not apply to this model. A duct collar is not proof of HVAC integration.
Main trade-off
No onboard pump. An uphill route needs separate equipment and appropriate controls.

AlorAir Sentinel HDi90 Ductable vs AprilAire E080 for a crawlspace or ducted home. Compare pumping, HVAC controls, service access and matched capacity.
Both are permanent-installation alternatives for moisture control in a crawlspace or basement. The pump-equipped AlorAir and duct-integrated AprilAire solve different installation bottlenecks.
Winner by situation
HDi90 includes a pump, subject to confirmed route limits.
E080 has the verified integration instructions.
HDi90 pump maintenance must remain possible. Any E080 external pump also needs access.
Compare HDi90’s 90-pint rating with E080’s 80 at 80 F and 60% RH. HDi90’s 198-pint saturation figure uses different conditions.
What matters in practice

Pump inclusion and verified control instructions crossed with elevated disposal and HVAC integration. Unverified AlorAir compatibility is not declared impossible.
HDi90’s manual calls for annual pump maintenance and draining the reservoir before moving or storing the unit. Its pump therefore replaces repeated water handling with a different service task. If reaching the unit means crawling past stored equipment, preserve access for that work. E080 avoids an onboard pump only when a gravity route is available. Adding an external pump moves the maintenance elsewhere rather than eliminating it.
Pump care instructions crossed with difficult crawlspace access. Maintenance is displaced rather than assumed removed.
AlorAir lists 198 pints at 90 F and 90% relative humidity, but 90 pints at 80 F and 60%. AprilAire’s 80-pint rating uses the latter warm conditions. The defensible nominal gap is ten pints, not 118. Even that ten-pint difference does not establish actual crawlspace drying speed. Temperature, incoming moisture and the air route still govern the job, so the pump and integration differences may be more decisive than the rating.
Rating-condition normalization. 90 minus 80 equals ten pints at matched conditions. No home runtime calculation.

AlorAir, Sentinel HDi90 Duct, built-in pump, white cabinet with black end panels. Amazon color field says Black.
Gravity drainage cannot reach the disposal point and the included pump route is verified.

AprilAire, E080 standalone, E080Z package code, no separate controller or pump assumed
The project needs the documented HVAC fan-interlock arrangement.
Meaningful differences
| What changes | AlorAir Sentinel HDi90 Ductable | AprilAire E080 | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|---|
| Comparable rating | 90 pints at 80 F and 60% RH | 80 pints at 80 F and 60% RH | The 198-pint AlorAir headline uses different conditions. |
| Drainage | Internal condensate pump | Gravity or separate pump | The disposal height can settle the practical setup. |
| HVAC route | Ductable, Central Control key not applicable in manual | Documented connection and fan-interlock instructions | Missing integration evidence is a purchase check, not an invented capability. |
| Body and weight | 15.2 W × 23.2 D × 17.7 H inches, 70.5 lb | 14 W × 26 D × 15 H inches, 63 lb | E080 is lower and lighter, while AlorAir is shorter. |

Recommendation switch
Choose AlorAir Sentinel HDi90 Ductable. HDi90 includes that component.
Choose AprilAire E080. E080 provides the documented route.
What matters in practice
You want one appliance to simplify the job, but pumping water and integrating with the house fan are separate requirements.
