Main trade-off
QIDI Q2 Combo
The 256mm Z height can be the limiting dimension for tall parts.
Head-to-head
Choose the Q2 for hotter material settings or K2 Pro for a 300mm part.
Before you choose
The required 290 × 290mm footprint exceeds Q2 Combo and fits K2 Pro Combo. This can avoid splitting the flat part.
What this is based on
Assume a square 280mm part with a 5mm brim on every side. Required width and depth = 280 + 2 × 5 = 290mm. Compare each axis with the published build dimensions. Purge towers, supports and machine exclusion zones need separate space.
Main trade-off
The 256mm Z height can be the limiting dimension for tall parts.
Main trade-off
The 300°C nozzle ceiling is lower than the K2 Plus 350°C limit.

Compare Q2 Combo and K2 Pro Combo by part size, material temperatures and the supplied color-printing setup before choosing your printer.
Choose the Q2 for hotter material settings or K2 Pro for a 300mm part.
Winner by situation
The required 290 × 290mm footprint exceeds Q2 Combo and fits K2 Pro Combo. This can avoid splitting the flat part.
Q2's active chamber ceiling is 65°C and K2 Pro's is 60°C. A required setting must fit the selected model, even when both are described as heated-chamber printers.
Q2 Combo supplies QIDI Box with active drying. K2 Pro Combo supplies a four-slot CFS, which must not be treated as an active dryer without a separately verified drying accessory.
Q2’s 65°C chamber ceiling clears 63°C by 2°C. K2 Pro’s 60°C ceiling is 3°C below it. Use the filament supplier’s actual requirement before applying this narrow boundary.
What matters in practice
The required 290 × 290mm footprint exceeds Q2 Combo and fits K2 Pro Combo. This can avoid splitting the flat part.

A simple grid holds 9 footprints on Q2 Combo and 9 on K2 Pro Combo. Use this as a plate-layout screen before running the actual slicer.
Assume 70mm square footprints plus 10mm allowance per grid cell for spacing. Count = floor(build X / 80) × floor(build Y / 80). No rotation, supports, purge tower or brim is modeled. This estimates layout, not throughput.
Q2’s 65°C chamber ceiling clears 63°C by 2°C. K2 Pro’s 60°C ceiling is 3°C below it. Use the filament supplier’s actual requirement before applying this narrow boundary.
Specified active chamber requirement 63°C. 65 minus 63 = 2°C. 60 minus 63 = negative 3°C. Chamber uniformity and part success are not measured.

QIDI, Q2 Combo
The Q2 combines a 270 × 270 × 256mm envelope with a 65°C chamber and 370°C nozzle. The Combo adds QIDI Box for supported multicolor work and active filament drying.

Creality, K2 Pro Combo
A 300mm enclosed CoreXY printer with a 60°C active chamber and a four-slot CFS. It suits larger functional parts and multicolor jobs that fit below the K2 Plus size.
Meaningful differences
| What changes | QIDI Q2 Combo | Creality K2 Pro Combo | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|---|
| Build envelope | 270 × 270 × 256mm | 300 × 300 × 300mm | A one-piece model, supports and adhesion margin must all fit. |
| Nozzle temperature ceiling | 370°C | 300°C | The selected filament profile must stay within this limit. |
| Bed temperature ceiling | 120°C | 110°C | Check the required bed setting separately from the nozzle setting. |
| Active chamber heating | 65°C | 60°C | An enclosure and a regulated chamber heater provide different thermal controls. |
| Supplied filament system | Four-slot QIDI Box with active drying included | One four-slot CFS included | This changes the accessory bill and material-change process. |
| On-machine controls | 4.3-inch touchscreen | 4-inch touchscreen | This changes direct setup and monitoring interaction. |
| Monitoring hardware | AI monitoring camera | Chamber camera plus nozzle camera | Camera resolution and detection features do not guarantee every failure is caught. |
What you give up
Recommendation switch
Choose QIDI Q2 Combo. Q2's nozzle reaches 370°C, compared with K2 Pro's 300°C. A specified profile above 300°C must still fit the Q2's 270 × 270 × 256 mm envelope.
Choose Creality K2 Pro Combo. K2 Pro offers a 300 mm cube, adding 30 mm horizontally and 44 mm vertically. Its nozzle stops at 300°C, so the larger part must also suit that temperature limit.
What matters in practice
The K2 Pro adds 30mm horizontally and 44mm vertically. The Q2 is the smaller envelope with a substantially higher nozzle-temperature ceiling.
QIDI Box includes active drying, while the standard CFS must not be treated as an active filament dryer. Check whether the selected CFS bundle includes a newer drying accessory.
Both have active chamber heat. A 60°C setting is within both published ceilings, while a requirement above 60°C changes the selection toward Q2.
What the facts say
Useful conclusions from the current 3D printers comparison, followed by the checked facts used to reach them.
