Head-to-head

QIDI Plus4 vs Creality K2 Plus Combo: K2 fits parts above 280 mm tall and includes the color feeder

The short answer

Choose K2 Plus Combo for a part that needs more than 280 mm of height or for a supplied four-color feeder. Choose Plus4 when its 305 mm square bed is enough and the job benefits from its 370 C hotend or 65 C chamber. Count the feeder, spool space and actual material profile with the printer.

Before you choose

The reasoning and the trade-offs

A 320 mm upright prop fits only one nominal height

K2 Plus can accommodate 320 mm vertically, while Plus4 reaches 280 mm.

What this is based on

The example preserves vertical orientation and excludes supports that could increase total height.

Main trade-off

QIDI Plus4

The selected standalone package omits QIDI Box.

Main trade-off

Creality K2 Plus Combo

The nozzle and chamber ceilings are lower.

What matters in practice

The differences that matter

A 320 mm upright prop fits only one nominal height

K2 Plus can accommodate 320 mm vertically, while Plus4 reaches 280 mm.

How we reached this conclusion

The example preserves vertical orientation and excludes supports that could increase total height.

Four colors are included on only one side

K2 Plus Combo supplies a four-spool CFS. Plus4 requires the optional QIDI Box for automatic color changes.

How we reached this conclusion

One CFS supports four spools. The 16-color headline requires additional CFS hardware.

The hotter machine is smaller

Plus4 combines the higher nozzle and chamber limits with the smaller build envelope.

How we reached this conclusion

Plus4 is rated at 370 C nozzle and 65 C chamber. K2 Plus is rated at 350 C and 60 C.

What you give up

Every choice has a cost

If you choose QIDI Plus4

  • The 280 mm height can require splitting tall objects.

If you choose Creality K2 Plus Combo

  • Extra CFS units add cost and placement space for more than four colors.

Recommendation switch

The decision flips if...

I need a 320 mm upright build

Choose Creality K2 Plus Combo. The 350 mm nominal height fits the example.

My compatible material needs the higher nozzle ceiling

Choose QIDI Plus4. Plus4 reaches 370 C.

I need sixteen colors with only the supplied hardware

Choose neither. The included K2 CFS supplies four spool positions.

What matters in practice

How to make the call

01

A 320 mm upright prop fits only one nominal height

For a 320 mm tall prop that should remain upright, K2 Plus avoids a height-driven seam. Plus4 would require splitting or rotating the model, with possible changes to support marks and layer orientation. This is a fit decision. It does not imply that every object below 350 mm prints successfully.

02

Four colors are included on only one side

Choose K2 Plus Combo when four-color labels or props are part of the first project. Its included CFS makes that package complete for compatible materials. Plus4 can become a color system with QIDI Box, so compare the full basket and placement space. Do not budget for 16 colors using only the single included CFS.

03

The hotter machine is smaller

A small functional part using a demanding material can favor Plus4 even when K2 Plus has more room. A large PLA display piece can favor K2 Plus without benefiting from the extra temperature headroom. Decide from one actual file and one filament specification, because the larger machine and the hotter machine solve different constraints.

Check these before buying

  • Confirm the exact feeder supplied by the selected listing.
  • Verify brim clearance and material compatibility with the automatic feeder.

What this comparison cannot tell you

  • Published temperature and size limits do not establish material strength or finished-part quality.
