Main trade-off
Creality K2 Plus Combo
The large chassis needs much more room than a 256 mm printer.
Head-to-head
Choose the 350mm envelope or a smaller machine with a hotter nozzle ceiling.
Before you choose
The required 310 × 310mm footprint fits Creality K2 Plus Combo and exceeds Q2 Combo. This can avoid splitting the flat part.
What this is based on
Assume a square 300mm part with a 5mm brim on every side. Required width and depth = 300 + 2 × 5 = 310mm. Compare each axis with the published build dimensions. Purge towers, supports and machine exclusion zones need separate space.
Main trade-off
The large chassis needs much more room than a 256 mm printer.
Main trade-off
The 256mm Z height can be the limiting dimension for tall parts.

Winner by situation
The required 310 × 310mm footprint fits Creality K2 Plus Combo and exceeds Q2 Combo. This can avoid splitting the flat part.
K2 Plus documents a 60°C chamber heater and Q2 a 65°C heater. Use the required material setting to decide whether that 5°C difference matters.
K2 Plus Combo includes one four-slot CFS and Q2 Combo includes QIDI Box with active drying. Both printers have active chamber heating, which remains separate from filament drying.
Q2 leaves 10°C below its nozzle ceiling at 360°C. K2 Plus is 10°C below that requested setting even though it has the larger physical envelope.
What matters in practice
The required 310 × 310mm footprint fits Creality K2 Plus Combo and exceeds Q2 Combo. This can avoid splitting the flat part.
Assume a square 300mm part with a 5mm brim on every side. Required width and depth = 300 + 2 × 5 = 310mm. Compare each axis with the published build dimensions. Purge towers, supports and machine exclusion zones need separate space.
A simple grid holds 9 footprints on Creality K2 Plus Combo and 9 on Q2 Combo. Use this as a plate-layout screen before running the actual slicer.
Assume 80mm square footprints plus 10mm allowance per grid cell for spacing. Count = floor(build X / 90) × floor(build Y / 90). No rotation, supports, purge tower or brim is modeled. This estimates layout, not throughput.
Q2 leaves 10°C below its nozzle ceiling at 360°C. K2 Plus is 10°C below that requested setting even though it has the larger physical envelope.
Q2 370 minus 360 = 10°C. K2 Plus 350 minus 360 = negative 10°C. This is a temperature threshold and does not validate the whole filament process.

Creality, K2 Plus Combo
The printer provides 350 × 350 × 350 mm build volume. The print area is enclosed.

QIDI, Q2 Combo
The Q2 combines a 270 × 270 × 256mm envelope with a 65°C chamber and 370°C nozzle. The Combo adds QIDI Box for supported multicolor work and active filament drying.
Meaningful differences
| What changes | Creality K2 Plus Combo | QIDI Q2 Combo | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|---|
| Build envelope | 350 × 350 × 350mm | 270 × 270 × 256mm | A one-piece model, supports and adhesion margin must all fit. |
| Nozzle temperature ceiling | 350°C | 370°C | The selected filament profile must stay within this limit. |
| Active chamber heating | 60°C | 65°C | An enclosure and a regulated chamber heater provide different thermal controls. |
| Supplied filament system | One four-slot CFS included | Four-slot QIDI Box with active drying included | This changes the accessory bill and material-change process. |
| Monitoring hardware | 1080p chamber camera plus nozzle camera | AI monitoring camera | Camera resolution and detection features do not guarantee every failure is caught. |
| Supplied nozzle hardware | Hardened-tip nozzle for specified abrasive filaments | Bimetal nozzle and hardened steel extruder gears | Check abrasion resistance and replacement assemblies for the exact filament. |
What you give up
Recommendation switch
Choose Creality K2 Plus Combo. K2 Plus provides a 350 mm cube, adding 80 mm horizontally and 94 mm vertically over Q2. Its 350°C nozzle ceiling must still cover the selected material profile.
Choose QIDI Q2 Combo. Q2's 370°C nozzle ceiling covers a specified 360°C setting, while K2 Plus's 350°C ceiling does not. The smaller Q2 envelope remains a separate fit check.
What matters in practice
The K2 Plus adds 80mm on the horizontal axes and 94mm in height. That can avoid splitting a large housing, while Q2 is a more compact heated-chamber option.
Q2’s 370°C nozzle ceiling exceeds the K2 Plus by 20°C. K2 Plus counters with its larger 350mm envelope, so the filament and shape requirements can point in opposite directions.
Both are multicolor single-nozzle packages with active chamber heat. Count the supplied feed slots and examine the sliced job, since multicolor headlines do not predict waste or duration.
