What matters in practice
A searing pot and a cooker that sears in its base solve different problems.
Hamilton Beach 33662 and All-Clad SD700350 allow browning in their removable inserts on a compatible stove. The hot insert then moves into the base. Cuisinart, Ninja MC1001, Ninja MC1101 and the current GreenPan Elite can brown in the powered base. That distinction matters when breakfast or another dinner dish already uses the stove.
Cuisinart prohibits its pot in the oven and on the stove. GreenPan permits the bowl on a suitable stove or in an oven up to 390 F with its lid removed. Ninja MC1001 permits its pot in an oven up to 500 F while prohibiting stovetop use. A recipe that finishes above 390 F therefore needs a different plan with GreenPan, despite its broader stovetop permission.
MC1001 and MC1101 both begin their documented Low range at six hours. Browning convenience does not change that timer boundary. If a shorter Low recipe is already part of the weekly routine, check the controls before moving it to either Ninja. Cuisinart’s programmable Slow Cook and Hamilton Beach’s independent heat and preset-time controls provide different choices.
MC1001’s guide recommends handwashing the pot to extend its life. GreenPan permits its pot and lid in the dishwasher, while Cuisinart specifies the top rack for its pot, lid and rack. A small sink can make those instructions more useful than an additional cooking function. Dishwasher permission still requires that the actual part fits.

Ninja · MC1001
Brown in the base, slow-cook a suitable large recipe and use the removable pot for an oven finish. The pot must never go on a stove, despite being oven safe.
Choose instead whenYou regularly need its 8.5-quart vessel or an oven finish above 390 F and up to 500 F. Low starts at six hours, the pot cannot go on the stove, and handwashing is recommended.
Low starts at six hours, which does not directly fit a shorter Low recipe.

GreenPan · CC009987-001
The current six-quart Elite combines in-base browning with a pot that also permits external heat. Check its 390 F limit before planning an oven finish.
Choose instead whenThe same bowl must also use a suitable stovetop or oven within 390 F with its lid removed, and you want documented dishwasher permission.
The pot’s external-heat limit is 390 F, with the glass lid removed.

Ninja · MC1101
A family-size cooker that browns in its base and also provides rice, oats and pasta modes. Its pot can go in the oven but must stay off the stove.
Choose instead whenYou want a 6.5-quart model with rice, oats and pasta modes as well as in-base browning. Low starts at six hours and its pot is not stovetop safe.
Low has a six-hour minimum, so shorter established Low recipes need a different plan.
