Main trade-off
Hisense C2 Ultra
The gimbal helps movement, but the projector has no battery and still needs an outlet.
Head-to-head
Choose N3 Ultimate when a fixed projector position needs more optical adjustment. C2 Ultra covers a broad normal range with VIDAA streaming.
Before you choose
Hisense C2 Ultra needs 7.8 to 13.1 ft from lens to screen for a 120-inch 16:9 picture. JMGO N3 Ultimate needs 7.7 to 14.8 ft.
What this is based on
Width = diagonal × 16 / √337. At 120 inches the width is 104.6 inches. Multiply by each documented throw endpoint and divide by 12 for feet. This excludes digital zoom, keystone, cabinet offset and lens-shift limits.

Main trade-off
Independent testing found that 24 fps movie motion can look choppy.

Most of the added range is at the long end
Winner by situation
The C2 Ultra range of 0.9 to 1.5 lies within N3 Ultimate's 0.88 to 1.7 range. Both fit positions in that overlap, so check the streaming platform and stand arrangement next.
N3 Ultimate extends to 1.7 throw against 1.5 for C2 Ultra. That extra reach helps a fixed rear shelf, while the difference at the short end is much smaller.
Use 7.8 to 13.1 ft for Hisense C2 Ultra or 7.7 to 14.8 ft for JMGO N3 Ultimate, measured from the lens. Check the cabinet and mounting clearances separately.
The documented platform is VIDAA on Hisense C2 Ultra and Google TV on JMGO N3 Ultimate. Check the exact US model and required apps, rather than a similar name or older generation.
What matters in practice
Hisense C2 Ultra needs 7.8 to 13.1 ft from lens to screen for a 120-inch 16:9 picture. JMGO N3 Ultimate needs 7.7 to 14.8 ft.
Width = diagonal × 16 / √337. At 120 inches the width is 104.6 inches. Multiply by each documented throw endpoint and divide by 12 for feet. This excludes digital zoom, keystone, cabinet offset and lens-shift limits.
Hisense C2 Ultra lists 3000 ANSI lumens, while JMGO N3 Ultimate uses 5800 ISO. We do not turn different labeled standards into a brightness multiplier.
Exact published inputs are 3000 ANSI for Hisense C2 Ultra and 5800 ISO for JMGO N3 Ultimate. A percentage is shown only within the same labeled standard. Manufacturer methods, calibration and picture modes can still differ.
At a 120-inch picture, N3 Ultimate adds about 1.7 feet at the far end compared with C2 Ultra, but saves only about two inches at the near end.
A 120-inch 16:9 width is 104.59 inches. Long-end gap: 104.59 × (1.7 - 1.5) / 12 = 1.74 ft. Near-end gap: 104.59 × (0.9 - 0.88) = 2.09 in.
Try your real numbers
The result checks hard limits only. Preferences stay out of the calculation.
For a 120-inch 16:9 picture, the calculated lens range is about 7.84 to 13.07 ft. Your input is 9.50 ft.
For a 120-inch 16:9 picture, the calculated lens range is about 7.67 to 14.82 ft. Your input is 9.50 ft.
Distance is measured from the lens to the screen. The calculation uses a 16:9 image and the verified optical throw range for each exact model.

Hisense, C2 Ultra

JMGO, N3 Ultimate
A very bright triple-laser projector with an unusually broad optical zoom and four-way lens shift for large screens.
Meaningful differences
| What changes | Hisense C2 Ultra | JMGO N3 Ultimate | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|---|
| Optical throw ratio | 0.9 to 1.5 | 0.88 to 1.7 | Distance is measured from the lens to the screen, using the image width. |
| Lens distance for 120 inches | 7.8 to 13.1 ft | 7.7 to 14.8 ft | Calculated for 16:9 with optical adjustment only. Cabinet depth and cable clearance are extra. |
| Published image-size range | 65 to 300 in | 40 to 300 in | A supported maximum does not guarantee a bright picture in your room. |
| Published light output | 3000 ANSI lumens | 5800 ISO lumens | Different measurement standards and picture modes are not interchangeable. |
| Display architecture | single-chip-dlp | single-chip-dlp | Single-chip sequential color can matter to viewers sensitive to rainbow flashes. |
| Streaming platform | VIDAA | Google TV | Confirm the exact US edition and the apps you need before adding a separate streamer. |
What you give up
What matters in practice
JMGO stretches to 1.7 instead of 1.5, while its short end only falls from 0.9 to 0.88. The upgrade is more valuable for a distant shelf than a slightly closer table.
N3 Ultimate uses Google TV and C2 Ultra uses VIDAA. Both documented models support Netflix, so check the other services and casting workflow you use.
JMGO publishes ISO and Hisense ANSI. Their brightness headlines cannot be used as a reliable percentage advantage without a shared test method.
