Main trade-off
Sennheiser ACCENTUM Plus Wireless
The 50-hour ANC claim is unchanged from standard Accentum.
Head-to-head
Choose Accentum Plus for the lighter 227 g frame. Choose Momentum 4 for the longer 60-hour ANC claim. Both cover Bluetooth, USB audio and passive analog, so you do not need the heavier model simply to get flexible connections.
Before you choose
The lighter pair saves 66 g against Momentum 4.
What this is based on
(293 − 227) ÷ 293 × 100 = 22.5%.
Main trade-off
The 50-hour ANC claim is unchanged from standard Accentum.
Main trade-off
The earcups turn flat but do not fold inward.

Accentum Plus saves 66 g, while Momentum 4 adds ten rated ANC hours. Compare the two Sennheisers by charging routine, cable needs and bag space.
Before you choose
If your reason for spending more is to stop using the laptop microphone, ACCENTUM Plus already documents USB recording as well as playback. MOMENTUM 4 offers the same type of connection. Choose between them on fit and the rest of your listening routine after checking the meeting application. A USB port and audible music alone do not confirm that the application has selected the intended microphone.
Both manuals ask users to disconnect Bluetooth and select the exact headset as the system’s playback and/or recording device. USB also charges each model. This establishes capability rather than comparative microphone quality.
Both can keep playing analog music with an empty battery, but that does not preserve active noise cancellation. If ANC during the flight is the actual requirement, put charging on the packing checklist for either model. The analog lead also removes Bluetooth and headset music or phone controls. Choose ACCENTUM Plus if those shared limits are acceptable, rather than assuming MOMENTUM 4 eliminates them.
The manuals allow analog listening when the battery is empty and require remaining charge for ANC. They explicitly disable Bluetooth and music, phone-call and assistant control in the analog configuration.
Winner by situation
Accentum Plus is 66 g lighter, though pressure and pad shape remain personal.
Momentum 4 has the higher rated ANC duration.
Both provide these paths, so the heavier pair is not required for connection flexibility.
Neither folds inward. Check the case rather than judging portability from weight alone.
What matters in practice
The lighter pair saves 66 g against Momentum 4.
(293 − 227) ÷ 293 × 100 = 22.5%.
The increase is ten hours in the comparable ANC claim.
(60 − 50) ÷ 50 × 100 = 20%. Both use the manufacturer’s iPhone, mid-volume ANC test description.
For five eight-hour listening days, the rated margins are ten and twenty hours respectively.
5 × 8 = 40. 50 − 40 = 10 and 60 − 40 = 20. This is arithmetic on rated limits, not guaranteed real runtime.
Check your own setup
Start with the way you listen. USB charging is not the same as USB audio, and some headphones need power even with a cable. These choices are examples until you apply yours.
Bluetooth listening.
Bluetooth listening.
Battery figures are manufacturer claims for the stated mode, not measured travel time. Volume, codec, calls and battery age change runtime. Closed earcups can still leak sound. Weight alone does not predict comfort. USB audio needs a compatible source and cable. This check does not assess sound quality, microphone quality or amplifier power.

Sennheiser, ACCENTUM Plus Wireless
The Plus upgrade buys useful travel extras rather than more advertised runtime: an analog input, cable and carry case. Its 227 g weight stays below Momentum 4 while keeping USB audio.

Sennheiser, MOMENTUM 4 Wireless
A strong fit when charging less often matters more than folding the headphones into a small shape. Its 60-hour ANC claim is paired with USB audio and a passive analog fallback.

What you give up
What matters in practice
Someone who charges every night may never use the extra ten rated hours. In that case, carrying and wearing 66 g less could be the more frequent benefit. A traveler away from power for several long days has a clearer reason to value Momentum 4’s headroom.
USB audio, passive analog and multipoint are present on both. That makes this a more focused choice than the brand hierarchy suggests. Name a need that Momentum 4 uniquely satisfies before paying more or accepting extra weight.
Both frames turn flat. A supplied case protects them but still occupies space. Measure the part of your bag you will use, particularly if portability is the reason you favor Accentum Plus.
