Main trade-off
KitchenAid KF6 Fully Automatic Espresso Machine
A dedicated milk container is not included in this package.
Head-to-head
Choose the KF7 if two people usually want milk drinks together or you want named profiles and the included milk container. Choose the KF6 if you normally make one drink at a time and are happy using your own milk container. The body, 2.2 L tank and removable hopper are the same size on both.
Before you choose
For a supported identical pair, KF7’s dual-milk setting replaces two separate single-drink starts. That does not prove the pair finishes in half the time.
What this is based on
Workflow count: two KF6 single preparations versus one KF7 supported paired preparation. Different recipes may still require separate selections.
Main trade-off
A dedicated milk container is not included in this package.
Main trade-off
The dedicated plant-milk mode belongs to the KF8.

What matters in practice
For a supported identical pair, KF7’s dual-milk setting replaces two separate single-drink starts. That does not prove the pair finishes in half the time.
Workflow count: two KF6 single preparations versus one KF7 supported paired preparation. Different recipes may still require separate selections.
Both have four profiles and 2.2 L tanks. Named profiles make identification easier, but the number of persistent users is unchanged.
4 - 4 = 0 extra profiles and 2.2 - 2.2 = 0 L reservoir difference.
Both machines have the same published dimensions. KF7 adds a 790 mL container, so its complete working station can need more space than the bare-body comparison suggests.
Published body dimensions are identical. The separate included milk container is not included in width × depth figures.

What you give up
What matters in practice
KF7’s useful upgrade is serving and milk convenience, not a larger water tank or more saved users.
Dual milk delivery is most useful for two people who choose the same supported drink together. If one wants espresso and the other a customized latte, you may still make separate selections. That is why the feature should be valued as a household convenience rather than translated into an unsupported claim that all coffee service is twice as fast.
KF7 lets people recognize their settings by name. KF6 still provides four profiles, so it already covers the same number of recurring users. A household that is comfortable recognizing profile icons may not need the change. The extra convenience becomes easier to appreciate when guests or less frequent users operate the machine.
KF7 includes a 790 mL milk container, while the selected KF6 package uses a hose with a suitable container you provide. Either way, the milk path must be cleaned and unused milk stored appropriately. Check your refrigerator shelf as well as your counter before assuming an included container automatically makes the station easier.
