Main trade-off
Jura GIGA 10
The larger body adds little water capacity and no stated spent-portion capacity over Z10.
Head-to-head
Choose GIGA 10 when two different beans need to stay ready and four favorite profiles help a shared household. Choose original Z10 when one bean covers most drinks and the lower body is a better fit. GIGA 10 doubles bean storage but adds only 0.2 liters of water over Z10. Both list approximately 20 spent portions. Do not buy GIGA solely expecting a large reduction in every refill and emptying task.
Before you choose
GIGA 10 stores 560 g across two hoppers, against Z10’s 280 g in one. But it holds just 200 ml more water, an increase of about 8%, and both specify approximately 20 spent portions. If everyone uses the same bean and the nuisance is carrying the tray to the sink, the headline bean increase is a weak reason to upgrade. The meaningful gain is keeping a second whole-bean variety ready. Recipes and rinsing still determine which shared resource needs attention first.
What this is based on
Total beans 560/280 = 2. Water 2.6 − 2.4 = 0.2 L and 0.2/2.4 = 8.3%. Approximate grounds 20 versus 20. No full-drink count, emptying calendar or service interval follows.
Main trade-off
The larger body adds little water capacity and no stated spent-portion capacity over Z10.
Main trade-off
A single 280 g hopper cannot keep two whole-bean varieties ready. Alternate coffee remains a manual task.

Jura GIGA 10 vs original Z10 for regular and decaf, shared favorites and limited cabinet height. Find which part of the larger machine earns its space.
Both are premium cold-extraction Jura automatics. The higher-capacity model adds a second bean channel and household organization rather than doubling every resource.
Winner by situation
GIGA combines two hoppers with four favorite profiles.
Z10 is 5.2 cm lower at the same body width.
Both list approximately 20 spent portions.
GIGA has two hoppers and Z10 one.

GIGA’s four profiles can organize three favorite drinks for each person. If two adults share regular beans and two prefer decaf, the combination of profiles and two hoppers can address both recipe memory and bean choice. If all four want different beans, only two can remain loaded. If they share one bean but disagree on milk temperature, Z10’s ten temperature choices may be more relevant than GIGA’s three. Neither profile system promises complete milk-allergen separation.
Four profile sets crossed with two physical bean supplies and documented 3 versus 10 milk-temperature levels. No claim that each level is an equal temperature step or a health benefit.
Both bodies are 32 cm wide, but GIGA is 41.5 cm high against 36.3 cm for Z10. That 5.2 cm difference can turn a workable refill location into one that needs the machine moved whenever supplies are topped up. A low cabinet and frequent use therefore strengthen Z10’s case when the second bean is unnecessary. Check the actual lid opening and tank-removal route. Neither closed height guarantees operation inside a cabinet, and ventilation instructions still apply.
41.5 − 36.3 = 5.2 cm body-height difference at equal 32 cm width. Working clearance is unverified and must be measured. Conflicting Z10 depth units are excluded.
