Main trade-off
Samsung Odyssey OLED G9 49-inch Smart
Its USB-C ports do not accept a laptop video signal.
Head-to-head
Choose the G93SC when your computer handles games and video. Choose the G95SC when built-in streaming apps and a remote will let you leave the computer off. Both provide the same 49-inch, 5120 by 1440, 240Hz OLED format.
Before you choose
A centered split gives 2560 by 1440 pixels on each side without a physical center bezel.
What this is based on
5120 ÷ 2 = 2560. This describes pixel layout, not a guarantee that every game or operating system treats the panel as two monitors.
Main trade-off
Its USB-C ports do not accept a laptop video signal.
Main trade-off
A roughly 47-inch-wide chassis needs a genuinely wide desk.

Both OLED G9 models offer 49-inch 5120 by 1440 at 240Hz. Compare smart apps, remote control and USB-C limits before paying for G95SC extras.

Winner by situation
The G93SC covers the shared panel format without requiring smart extras.
The G95SC provides the smart platform and remote.
Both offer the same 5120 by 1440 pixel canvas.
The USB-C ports do not accept video.
What matters in practice
A centered split gives 2560 by 1440 pixels on each side without a physical center bezel.
5120 ÷ 2 = 2560. This describes pixel layout, not a guarantee that every game or operating system treats the panel as two monitors.
Both have 7,372,800 pixels and a maximum 4.17 ms refresh interval.
5120 × 1440 = 7,372,800. 1000 ÷ 240 = 4.17 ms. Processing features do not alter these shared limits.
A laptop setup that requires video directly into a monitor's USB-C port rules out both models.
Samsung explicitly lists LS49CG954SNXZA and LS49CG932SNXZA among models whose USB-C ports serve peripherals rather than video.

Samsung, LS49CG954SNXZA
A 49-inch OLED gives you the pixel layout of two QHD screens side by side without a central bezel. The G95SC adds smart apps and a remote for watching without switching on the computer.

Samsung, LS49CG932SNXZA
The G93SC gives a desktop PC a 5120-pixel-wide OLED canvas at 240Hz. It skips the G95SC's built-in streaming platform, which is useful when your computer already handles everything you watch.

What you give up
What matters in practice
The G95SC makes sense when you want to watch something without booting the PC or using a separate streaming device. The remote and built-in apps support that use. If all content already comes from the computer, the G93SC can be the more direct purchase when its current offer is lower.
The screen is exceptionally wide, but it remains 1440 pixels tall. Its 5120-pixel width can hold two QHD-sized panes side by side. If your main frustration is document height rather than width, a higher-resolution 16:9 display may solve more of the problem.
Samsung's own support documentation is explicit about these model codes. The USB-C ports are for peripherals, not display input. A laptop needs a supported HDMI or DisplayPort route plus whatever charging arrangement it requires. Paying for the G95SC does not remove that limitation.
