Main trade-off
BISSELL Little Green HydroSteam
At about 13 pounds, it is noticeably heavier than the Little Green Mini.
Head-to-head
Choose Little Green HydroSteam when you need a steam option for compatible surfaces alongside normal extraction. Choose Shark StainStriker for frequent spot and odor work where you prefer its two-formula tool. Check the fabric first. Heat and oxygen-based cleaners are different treatments, and neither belongs on every material.
Before you choose
Little Green can use heat, so the material must be approved for the selected mode.
What this is based on
BISSELL provides SteamWash, Wash and Steam modes. Shark PX201 provides no steam function.
Main trade-off
At about 13 pounds, it is noticeably heavier than the Little Green Mini.
Main trade-off
Its dual-formula routine requires two compatible products to keep stocked.

Compare Little Green HydroSteam 3618 and Shark StainStrikerPX201 for stain type, fabric compatibility, formula supplies and finishing the job.
Before you choose
Portable HydroSteam 3618 offers steam and non-steam modes. StainStriker uses its two-part cleaning chemistry without that steam function. If the furniture permits water extraction but excludes steam, compare only the approved non-steam processes rather than rejecting every HydroSteam mode or crediting steam as an advantage. If a compatible surface is the reason you want steam, HydroSteam provides the additional option. Neither is suitable merely because a stain is labeled pet-related.
The decision turns on material permission and the chosen mode. It does not transfer the separate upright 4123's stain chart to the portable 3618 or claim sanitization from either process.
If the approved cleaning process calls for a water-only rinse, PX201's guide requires preparing the main tank with water and emptying or removing OXY as directed. Simply adding water while leaving the second supply active is not the same setup. Choose Shark if that two-reservoir routine is acceptable, or assess HydroSteam's appropriate wash-mode instructions if frequent mode changes are your main concern.
This is a preparation constraint rather than a claim that rinsing is always necessary. Both material instructions and the manufacturer's formula directions govern whether another wet pass is appropriate.
Winner by situation
Only the 3618 provides a steam mode.
The Shark tool is built around its two-formula treatment.
Confirm material and formula compatibility before using either cleaner.
Both require hand-tool work rather than broad upright coverage.
What matters in practice
Little Green can use heat, so the material must be approved for the selected mode.
BISSELL provides SteamWash, Wash and Steam modes. Shark PX201 provides no steam function.
The 51-ounce reservoir is 79.7% of 64 ounces.
51 ÷64 ×100 =79.7%. Recovered volume varies with pre-existing moisture and extraction.
Running out of either approved component interrupts the intended treatment.
The PX201 tool combines Deep Clean Pro and OXY Multiplier. This is a supplies-planning conclusion.

BISSELL, 3618

Shark, PX201

What you give up
What matters in practice
Before comparing claims about difficult stains, find the item's cleaning instructions. Water-safe upholstery is not automatically steam-safe, and a surface approved for one cleaner may not tolerate the other formula. Little Green HydroSteam provides more than one mode, so owning a steam machine does not mean every job should use steam. Test any permitted treatment in a hidden area first.
BISSELL separates its 64-ounce clean tank from its 51-ounce recovery tank. Shark's selling point here is two formulas that combine during cleaning. Clean versus dirty water separation and two-formula activation are not the same feature. On the Shark, allow for keeping both approved formulas stocked. On the BISSELL, allow time to select the right mode for each surface.
Both are portable spot machines with small hand tools. BISSELL's roughly 4.8-foot hose and 13-pound empty body still need positioning around sofas or vehicle seats. Its dirty reservoir is smaller than the clean tank, so a large damp area can require emptying before the solution is gone. Choose either for localized work, then use an upright for broad carpet cleaning.
