Main trade-off
QIDI Plus4
A larger bed does not establish print quality or speed
Head-to-head
Choose Plus4 when a larger one-piece part or a material profile requiring active chamber heating determines the purchase. Choose Adventurer 5M Pro when a 220 mm cube and its 280 C nozzle ceiling cover the planned work. Both are enclosed, but the enclosures do not provide the same temperature control.
Before you choose
Plus4 leaves 25 mm total nominal width beyond a 280 mm square. The 5M Pro bed is 60 mm too narrow.
What this is based on
The model is a 280 mm square placed flat. The nominal horizontal limits are 305 mm for Plus4 and 220 mm for 5M Pro. Brim width and excluded slicer regions remain separate.

The 220 mm cube rules out larger uncut parts

Compare Plus4 and Adventurer 5M Pro when a one-piece model exceeds 220 mm or a filament profile needs active chamber heating.

Winner by situation
The QIDI nominal bed contains that footprint while the Flashforge bed does not.
The 5M Pro 280 C ceiling falls below the profile requirement.
Plus4 documents active chamber heating while 5M Pro does not.
The large envelope difference may have little effect on those models.
What matters in practice
Plus4 leaves 25 mm total nominal width beyond a 280 mm square. The 5M Pro bed is 60 mm too narrow.
The model is a 280 mm square placed flat. The nominal horizontal limits are 305 mm for Plus4 and 220 mm for 5M Pro. Brim width and excluded slicer regions remain separate.
A profile requiring a 300 C nozzle or active chamber heating lies outside the documented 5M Pro hardware envelope.
A 300 C nozzle requirement is 20 C above the 5M Pro limit and 70 C below the Plus4 limit. Active chamber heating is checked independently from the nozzle setting.
Both selected packages are single-material configurations, and an enclosure is not a guarantee of safe room air.
The selected standalone Plus4 and 5M Pro packages both lack automatic color feeders. Their enclosed shells do not establish measured contaminant removal or permission to ignore ventilation guidance.

QIDI, Plus4
The printer provides 305 × 305 × 280 mm build volume. The print area is enclosed.

Flashforge, Adventurer 5M Pro
The printer provides 220 × 220 × 220 mm build volume. The print area is enclosed.
Meaningful differences
| What changes | QIDI Plus4 | Flashforge Adventurer 5M Pro | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|---|
| Build envelope | 305 x 305 x 280 mm | 220 x 220 x 220 mm | A wide rigid part may fit one bed and require splitting on the other. |
| Chamber construction | Enclosed with active heating up to 65 C | Enclosed without a dedicated active chamber heater | An enclosure alone does not satisfy a profile requiring regulated chamber heat. |
| Maximum nozzle temperature | 370 C | 280 C | A filament profile above 280 C exceeds the Flashforge stated ceiling. |
| Included automatic color system | None in the selected standalone package | None in the selected package | Neither selected listing supplies an automatic four-color system. |
| Nominal bed area | 93,025 square mm | 48,400 square mm | The QIDI square bed provides about 92 percent more nominal area before margins. |
What you give up
Recommendation switch
Choose QIDI Plus4. Only the Plus4 nominal bed reaches that width.
Choose neither. Neither selected package includes that hardware.
Choose Flashforge Adventurer 5M Pro. Its smaller envelope remains sufficient, subject to the remaining workflow checks.
What matters in practice
For a square panel laid flat, the 305 mm QIDI bed can accommodate the outline before adhesion and slicer margins. A 220 mm bed cannot contain that same square in any flat rotation. Check brim width, edge exclusions and orientation rather than treating nominal dimensions as a ready-to-print guarantee.
The relevant question is the filament maker's exact processing guidance. Plus4 lists a 370 C hotend and a 65 C heated chamber. 5M Pro lists a 280 C hotend and an enclosed filtered chamber. Those limits do not prove that every filament below them is supported or that the resulting part will meet a strength target.
If the first project needs automatic colors, neither listing solves it as supplied. QIDI lists its separate Box option. For material use indoors, follow the filament and printer guidance on ventilation. Flashforge's filtration hardware should not be converted into an unmeasured exposure claim.
